Accessibility Workshop to help faculty and staff meet compliance by April 24th 2026. This interactive workshop will offer strong design principles that directly correlate with strong accessibility as well as instruction on how to make PowerPoints accessible to all learners. Focusing on design aspects like strong color contrast, proximity, having a clear flow, and more, will strengthen the overall design and delivery of the information presented in a PowerPoint. These skill transcend just PowerPoint and can be applied to any designed instructional material. Constructed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) in mind, this workshop will instruct and provide tools for how and when to write alt text, ensuring strong color contrast, properly writing links in context, creating accessible tables, and using an accessibility checker to help double check behind yourself.

Interactive practice will be provided, and computers will be available at the workshop site but feel free to bring your own laptop as well.
